Hand Washing

It is very important to wash our hands to prevent from getting any infections. I have seen people just rinsing there hands at restaurants and school not using soap! i think is chocking to see that specially in a place where you enjoy eating. Hand washing more than six times a day is considered the basic hygiene. People  should was there hands after preparing raw meat, using the toilet, doing diaper change when you touch an animal or touch your nose and sneezing. You should by wetting your hands first with warm or cold water then turning the water off then applying soap and scrubbing your hands for 20secs then rinse your hands and turn off the water with the paper towel and last open the door with the paper towel you dry your hands with it may sound like a lot but its the best for everyone.

The website have a lot of in formation for parents for their children in Early Head start and the importance of children's learning. WA kids in early intervention  is important for children because is important in their earliest years, children can learn so many things simply through playing, exploring and reading  with you. Is never to early to give a child a lifelong love of learning.

if i had three wishes to change children and families

i would love three wishes to change children and families. well mine will be short and simple but very so true. my first wish would be to talk to children more about the religions  that families have so they can understand when a children is celebrating a holiday and the other children doesn't and like that children who don't celebrate will understand why! I've seen it a lot working with children and it just breaks my heart. My second wish would be having meetings with parents often to see how the children are doing at home and at school that will only bring families closer to a better life for the children. Third wish is to always have free services for families and children in need and see them happy all the time not not have to worrie anymore.

In the beginning

Depends on how big your center will be the classes you are going to have and material you will need for the Teachers. then you will look in to how much tables, chairs and cubies you will need. You will need a program that implement a curriculum for each age group, that is consistent with goals for children and promotes learning and development in areas like Social, Emotional, Physical, language and cognitive. For assessment you will need materials such as Observation, Checklist and Rating Scales, Math, Science and other and also to monitor their progress.         

Becoming an Administrator

WOW! The first i am going to say about the Training is that, I respect every Director that haves a Center i can't believe just how much they have to go through to open a center or have a center running i always thought that it was an easy process, but i was wrong. Its important for us to be mentally prepared to open a Center and make sure that we have all the tools and information we need  to be a Director it was an eye opener for me. I am glad i had the opportunity to attend this training.

According to these practices, the purpose of the child guidance, or discipline, is not to control young children but to help them learn to be cooperative. The most effective techniques help children learn how to responsibility for their actions and empower them to exercise self-control.

To apply for CACP you need to contact the office in your state you live in then you will give the parent a form to fill out then you will keep record of every children that eats every day by the end of the month you will add the total and what ever you have total the government will reimbursed you your back. And I would definitely would love to use this program in my center.

The Importance of Quality Educators

Well I think is important for us to get the best education as teachers because the children depend on us. Its important that we give children the best education because I know they can be successful in life the children we teach now are our future.

My ECE Philosophy

I believe that as an E.C.E  teacher my goal is to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. I also believe that play should be the base of learning since children learn best by doing. As educators we must find a balance between teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.

Wow! this video really shocked me i cant believe that people would even post this kind of video with children, how are they suppose to know about this things that where said in the video!! i thought it was very disrespectful,  i hope that these  kids didn't hating African American. That's why it is very important for us teacher to teach children the right  things in life.

i love this video because of the information they gave us about how to bring different cultures in to class i think is something that most teachers need to do more in order for children to learn more about them, and it very important to involve the families as well like that parents will encourage their children.

Wow very nice video the way Davis talked about the different cultures. The part that i found interesting is about the the 6000 languages that there is in this world that i didn't even know about i didn't even think there where so many languages, and the part where he said that " Voodoo" wasn't  black magic it was something about a culture. things like these are very important to explain to children as they are growing.

i loved the Tolerance video because how the kids responded to the teachers sign language its amazing how children that small learned how to do sign language and communicate with people with disabilities.

i found this really interesting about how  students involvement with nature on school grounds in creases self-understanding and interpersonal skills. this research also found that children who work in school garden are more likely to interact positively with people different from themselves.

Hi my name is Lupe Garcia I am 33years old I have 4 children my oldest is 15yrs one of my daughters is 13yrs another one is 5yrs and my smallest is almost 2yrs old in June. I have been working in Childcare for over 10yrs I love it! it has been my passion to work with children since I was a child.
